Trattlers Hof-wine 2019/20
During our jubilee „136 years of hospitality” we proudly present our Hof-wine 2020.
Our Hofpeople choosed at tastings the Grüne Veltliner Federspiel Kaierburg 2017 from the winery Domäne Wachau from Dürnstein in Lower Austria. The wine is traditional made and the sense of refinement while the winemaking shows the innovation of Domäne Wachau. A perfect choice for the Trattlerhof who is as well traditional and innovative.
There is a tradition of exceptional food at the Trattlerhof. From regional delicacies such as “Kärntna Laxn” and our traditional Carinthian cuisine and hearty snacks through to our gourmet menu, here at the Trattlerhof there is something for everyone’s taste. In the Badstubn we can serve you our traditional Hoftorte cake made to our own recipe or one of our other homemade cakes as you enjoy a cup of coffee. In the cosy Zopfstube you can select from a wide choice of menus, you can take an aperitif at our quaint hotel bar and at the new Troadkastn you can feast on steaks of Austrian veal or fondue specialities.
This epicurean enjoyment is rounded off in our new wine depot, where eminent winemakers will taste their wine highlights with you.
Trattlers gourmet full board:
Extensive late risers’ breakfast buffet from 07.30 to 11.00, with daily changing Emperor’s, poacher’s, alpine, Carinthian, Viennese and fish breakfasts.
Hearty afternoon snack (choose from the hotel or the chalet restaurant “Einkehr” in the valley, around 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel), in winter directly on the ski slopes, in summer at the starting point for numerous hiking and cycling trails.
5-course table d’hôte menu in the evening with starter, salad buffet, 2 soups, 3 main courses and 2 desserts to choose from. We will also be pleased to serve special vegetarian and children’s menus, gluten-free dishes and raw food.
Our dishes are created using regional products from suppliers in the surrounding area. Our meat, sausage, cheese, eggs, curd cheese and bread, for example, are all personally selected by our chef from farmers in the region. Our fresh herbs come from our own herb garden.
TIPP: Visit our cottage restaurant Einkehr in the valley! Awarded with the AMA quality seal and 81 points at Falstaff, the cottage restaurant belongs to the famous "Genusswirt" initiative. This certificate guarantees fresh and regional products.

At our chalet restaurant Einkehr in the Bach district in the Bad Kleinkirchheim valley, we offer fresh dishes every day made from regional products, Carinthian specialities, our own creations, pizza (including to take out) and home-made desserts.
In summer too, star winemakers from the best-known wine growing regions in Austria are coming to the Trattlerhof for a very special “summit meeting”.
