In 2025, the Trattlerhof underwent a thoughtful refurbishment. Existing features were reimagined, rooms were stylishly redesigned, and standards were raised to a new level. All the while paying careful attention to what was already there. Not bigger, but better. With the clear aim of further enhancing quality and making the sense of hospitality an even more intense experience.

For generations, the Hotel GUT Trattlerhof & Chalets has stood for genuine hospitality, continuous development and clear values. A tiny, humble “s” makes visible what has long been practised.

The latest step is visible, yet deliberately low-key. Four stars have become four-star superior. No reason for loud applause, but rather a confirmation of what has long defined the Trattlerhof. A hotel that prioritises quality over quantity and is constantly evolving. The small “s” stands for service, for warmth and for a special understanding of hospitality. Rooms reimagined

The rooms were a central focus of the refurbishment. A total of 17 were completely redesigned. Rather than creating additional capacity, a conscious decision was made to enlarge and upgrade the existing rooms. The total number remained unchanged, but the living experience has changed noticeably: more space, more light and a clean, modern aesthetic characterise the new look. Natural materials from the region, warm colours and subtle details combine alpine character with contemporary design.

An atmosphere you can feel

The entrance and reception area now welcomes guests with an even greater sense of openness and warmth. The restaurant area has been reorganised and given a more refined atmosphere. Every area is designed with one thing in mind: making guests feel at home, without feeling staged.

Behind this project lie not just ideas, but people. Much of the complex work was carried out in collaboration with regional
partners with whom the Trattlerhof has enjoyed a close working relationship for years. These relationships are characterised by trust, reliability and a handshake’s worth of integrity. We know one another, understand one another and work as equals. The result is ultimately a successful refurbishment that is not only visible but also deeply rooted in the local community.

Looking Ahead to December – After the Renovation

Hotel GUT Trattlerhof was closed for renovation work from 29 September to 18 December 2025. Following the reopening on 19 December 2025, our guests were able to look forward to unforgettable holiday experiences – characterised by modern hospitality, sustainable comfort, as well as the tradition and warmth that have distinguished the Trattlerhof for centuries.

During the renovation phase in autumn, we kept our guests updated on the progress via our construction webcam and provided exclusive insights behind the scenes.

Since December 19, 2025: Trattlerhof unveils its fresh new look.

New Spaces & World of Wellness at the Trattlerhof

The renovation of the Hotel Trattlerhof introduced new room categories that reflected the alpine character of the hotel into a contemporary design. Regional natural materials, plenty of daylight and loving details create since then an atmosphere where tradition and modernity blend perfectly.

The entrance and reception area were also redesigned, featuring a new harmonious look and feel that ensured a special sense of warmth and well-being from the moment guests arrived. Furthermore, the expansion of our photovoltaic system and the upgrade of our building technology underlined our strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
