SDI Gold Award

Through responsible corporate management and targeted measures, the Hotel GUT Trattlerhof & Chalets has achieved GOLD status in the SDI award – a status currently held by only nine hotels in Austria. With an outstanding CO2 value of just 1.33 kg per overnight stay, we are even among the top five hotels.

The SDI (Sustainable Development Indicator) award evaluates the sustainability performance of hotel businesses and honors those that operate in a particularly environmentally conscious and responsible manner. Hotels that meet this standard implement targeted measures in the areas of energy efficiency, waste management, resource conservation, and social responsibility. The award helps guests identify hotels that are actively committed to environmental protection and sustainable development.

Hotels with GOLD status are among the pioneers in the industry, achieving exceptionally low CO2 values and high standards in sustainable management. It is not only about ecological action, but also about social and economic commitment in the sense of responsible corporate management.

The importance of training skilled workers has become clear, especially since they seem to be becoming an increasingly rare commodity. That is why a new benchmark has now been set in tourism. Carinthian businesses with a tourism background that excel as training eldorados were honored for the first time in 2024. And we were there! In addition to the quality of training, the seal of approval also emphasizes good working conditions, appropriate remuneration, and other social benefits, as our Hofleute Agenda shows. The award ceremony took place on February 26, 2024, in the Hall of Mirrors of the Carinthian Provincial Government.
